Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Production Technician - Ply Cutter to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Production Technician performs a variety of duties and multiple uses of different skill sets in the production of high risk parts and tooling. This role will specifically be working with our Ply Cutter machine. Some additional skills include vacuum integrity, prepreg installation, infusion or wet lay composite fabrication and curing. Aerospace tool finishing and custom hardware fabrication and installation, as well as sealing and release applications are some additional daily tasks.

The following essential job functions are performed as a Production Technician:

Attention to detail and quality is required
Reads and understands blue prints, isometric drawings and work orders
Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads
Must understand and comply with Safety and 5S
Must understand and comply with AS9100 and Nadcap Practices and Procedures as applicable
Must be able to read, understand and execute Work Orders to exacting specifications
Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function
Set up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition
Knowledge and use of common hand tools
Performs on the job training for Project Certifications, AS9100, NADCAP training and other training as required
Works in other Cells to support Production as required, ie; Mill, Mold/Fab or Assembly Cells
Performs other duties as assigned
Package and crate parts for shipment, includes shrink wrapping
Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall; at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

This position is located on-site in - Hamilton, Washington State

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST BE U.S. CITIZEN OR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT FOR THIS POSITION.

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required, college level or trade school education preferred. One or more years of experience in related field may be substituted for education. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Experience in aircraft frame assembly/maintenance and/or painting would be a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Wage range for this role is between $18 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
