Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse (RN) On the Medical Unit you will care for a wide ranging patient population including chronically ill, terminally ill and palliative care patients. You will also care for pre and post-surgical patients on occasion and you will be exposed to many different areas of nursing care.
·You will provide assessment and care of oncologic, chronically ill, terminally ill and palliative care patients.
·You will administer prescribed medications including oncologic medications which require certification for Registered Nurses.
·Monitoring, recording and communicating patient conditions will be your primary responsibility as well as recording data electronically.
·You will recognize and respond to changes in a patient’s condition.
·Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your unit’s healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of NH or valid compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
