Summary

Position Summary: Performs diagnostic echocardiographic ultrasound imaging procedures and sonographic images and measurements. Essential Functions: General Patient Care Works independently and with other healthcare providers to perform ultrasonography procedures and present images and pertinent patient information for interpretation. Tasks: Performs echocardiographic procedures, which include transthoracic and exercise stress echo. Verifies patient identification and examination order prior to performance of the procedure. Prepares the patient for the echocardiographic procedure. Patient Safety Complies with LifeBridge Health and practice patient safety mission, policies, and procedures. Tasks: Labels patient echo exams and preliminary reports to accurately identify patient name, medical record number, date of the exam, and echocardiographer performing the procedure. Operates equipment for intended uses and reports equipment malfunctions timely. Adheres to all LifeBridge Health and practice infection prevention and safety policies. Supportive Duties Performs duties as delegated to fulfill the responsibility as a member of the practice team. Tasks: Assists with interpretation of diagnostic test results and advises physicians and professional staff   Educational Requirements: Associates degree; 1-3 years of relevant experience
