Responsibilities:

• The Licensed Counselor is a member of a collaborative practice model that includes patients, nurses, clinical resource coordinators, physicians, and other practitioners, caregivers, and the community.
• Knowledgeable about disease, treatment, social and economic implications for individuals and families as it pertains to their age, stage of psychosocial development and discharge needs.
• Pragmatic in approaching End of Life and ethical issues.

Requirements:

• Masters in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Community Counseling.
• 6 month Internship in an acute care setting or 1 year social services in an acute health care setting.
• LCSW (Social Work); Or - LMHC (Mental Health)
