The anticipated salary range for this role is between $100,000.00and $180,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

SUMMARY:

Lead will be responsible for ensuring all the IT assets for Jenius, SMBC MANUBANK's digital banking unit are patched, and vulnerabilities are remediated adhering to the defined SLAs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the advisory for recommending solutions for remediating vulnerabilities.
  • Review and contribute to streamlining and maturing processes & controls around patch management.
  • Develop dashboards showing the environment's patching health.
  • Implement and enforce container security best practices, including image scanning, runtime protection and access control.
  • Monitor and track patching cycles, ensure vulnerabilities are mitigated, patches are applied in a timely fashion, without causing any impact/downtime to the end customers.
  • Responsible for infrastructure, platform, and application upgrades, patching and backups of Cloud infrastructure including that of 3rd party vendors where applicable.
  • Partner with InfoSec to respond to incidents related to security breaches or vulnerabilities, investigate, and mitigate security incidents.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with Vulnerability remediation and patch deployment
  • 5+ years of experience working in Azure and GCP Cloud environments and Container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, PKS
  • Strong experience with vulnerability management tools (MS Defender, NexusIQ, Sonarqube
  • etc)
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Experience collaborating with offshore team and giving them directions on day-to-day basis.
  • Detail oriented, with proven ability to question the status quo and challenge, as appropriate.
  • Ability to excel in a remote, innovative, and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with cross functional teams
