Summary

As a Lubricants Salesperson, you are responsible for connecting with customers and potential customers to understand their business needs and offer solutions from our line of lubricant products. You will support the division’s efforts to meet its financial targets by selling automotive, commercial, and industrial lubricants to business and industrial establishments as well as maintain existing accounts. This role also participates in occasional industry events and tradeshows. The ideal candidate has a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets and thrives on solving customer challenges, building new relationships, and maintaining a professional network.

Key Responsibilities:

Use creativity to identify potential sales leads using various methods and sources.
Make cold calls to potential lubricant customers and maintain opportunities into companywide CRM.
Utilize market knowledge and understanding of prospect’s business to present lubricant products and program options and emphasize key value-added features.
Follow the sales process from start to finish.
Call on existing customers to maintain accounts as needed.
Monitor market trends and activities of competitors and recommend actions to counter competitors’ initiatives.
Promote and collaborate with other division line sales representatives for cross selling.
Communicate with various levels of management through a variety of presentation styles – in-person, phone or online.
Set realistic sales goals that align with business unit and company objectives.
Perform special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 2+ years sales experience in the transportation industry desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong “hunter” mentality with experience selling to industrial or commercial businesses.
Strong work ethic, ability to multi-task and a proven record of meeting and exceeding quotas.
Exceptional people skills; an outgoing and persuasive personality is key to success.
Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience using CRM software and systems.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to regularly travel locally.
Ability to understand customer’s business needs and translate them into recommendations that are presented both verbally and in writing to customers.
