Position Title: Regional Manager - Construction Staffing

Location: FL, Panama City Beach

About the Organization:

RAMS was founded in 1994 as a flexible workforce provider. Since then, we have grown into a Skilled Construction Services company that specializes in providing tradesmen for the 3 main phases of vertical construction: electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.

RAMS is also a licensed general contractor and a licensed electrical contractor. We don't do this to bid jobs or compete with our customers. Instead, RAMS invested in these licenses so we could operate a state-certified pre-apprenticeship program called JumpStart. This is a major differentiator between RAMS and the many traditional staffing companies in the market.

Regional Manager - Construction Staffing

RAMS Skilled Trades

RAMS is a Skilled Trades Provider for the Construction Industry. We work with the largest and smallest contractors in the state of Florida, assisting with their manpower needs. We offer a fast-paced position with growth potential in our branch located in Panama City Beach, Florida. We are looking for a self-starter, someone who can wear many hats, focusing on sales, recruiting and management. This is an excellent opportunity for a hunter-closer who can take on an existing branch with a strong foundation and grow it to the next level.

The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of their office in accordance with Company’s core values: Dependability, Awareness, Integrity, and Safety. This is essential to achieving all company objectives, day-to-day operational excellence, and year-over-year P&L growth. The ability to plan and execute sales and recruiting strategies are keys to the overall performance of the regional area. These responsibilities include sales development across all trade verticals (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pipe fitting, HVAC/R, and low voltage), office staff and field employee management, growing an existing book of business, developing new client relationships, writing and implementing a Business Plan, and profitable P&L growth.

Applicants are required to have a minimum of 7 years experience in management that includes P&L responsibility and proven growth.

Compensation Highlights:

  • Base salary paid weekly (DOE)
  • Monthly commission based on transparent P&L
  • Monthly car allowance

Essential Functions:

  • Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue
  • Set and achieve individual sales targets
  • Continue to grow core business
  • Increase revenues across all under-performing trade lines (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pipe fitting, HVAC/R, and low voltage)
  • Manage Profit and Loss
  • Execute financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency
  • Hire and train new office staff, field and sales personnel
  • Regularly measure staff performance with biannual performance reviews
  • Plan and implement procedures to maximize operational efficiency
  • Ensure a culture of safety is recognized as a top priority with all office and field staff
  • Routinely update Senior Leadership on in-market competitors
  • Constantly maintain and update a database of all construction projects in the branch territory
  • Attend job fairs, trade shows, and other networking opportunities outside of regular company hours

Preferred Experience

  • Outside construction sales, business-to-business sales, and/or intangible product sales
  • Pipeline development: generating leads, converting to prospects, and closing clients
  • Cold calling in person and on the phone
  • Provable year-over-year sales growth in prior positions
  • Staffing industry background preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong outside business-to-business sales experience
  • Proven analytical, forecasting, and organizational skills
  • Verifiable leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of business, management principles and practices
  • Experience leading, training, and supervising teams
  • Sales management experience to encourage growth in Account Executives
  • Familiar with various recruiting tactics and strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM databases

Requirements

  • Clean driving record and maintain minimum insurance requirements
  • Clean background (many job sites require, such as military bases, airports, etc.)
  • Drug-free (both initial screening and ongoing random testing)
  • Must be able to drive to client job sites and recruiting sites, frequently in and out of car
  • Must be able to function under sometimes adverse weather conditions
  • Some job client sites and recruiting sites require walking long distances and/or standing for long periods of time
