General Summary of Position:
Granite is a leading provider of a wide array of managed security and networking platforms. The Security Engineering group is a dynamic, fast paced environment dealing with a comprehensive array of products and services, including Fortinet SD-WAN, Palo Alto, and Cisco.
The position includes customer solution development and deployment support, new product research, design, and implementation, tier 3 technical escalation and management support, as well as facilitating automation and integration initiatives to streamline deployments at scale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and promote subject matter expertise and platform proficiency
- Facilitate customer solution design and deployment based on customer and business needs
- Develop and implement hardware and virtual device configurations
- Support tier 3 escalation and technical troubleshooting
- Network maintenance and patching/update support
- Collaborate with business units to identify and improve operational processes and workflows
Required Qualifications:
- Self-starter, goal-oriented, ability to work independently without micromanagement
- Experience with network security products and concepts, primarily the Fortinet product suite
- Hands-on experience with network and security appliance configuration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of Networking, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, SD-WAN
- Experience in customer facing technical support roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNA/CCNP certification
- Fortinet NSE 4 certification or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Design, Network Security or related field
- Experience with coding and automation platforms such as Python, Javascript or similar
