Job Summary
The UX Front End Developer will be responsible for creating new features and improving existing ones, as well as addressing defects found during development, testing, and production for the company's consumer-facing applications. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.Job Description
Position Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and debug application code using modern web or mobile or streaming media programming languages and frameworks. Implementation of features.
- Determining where to place images, what the navigation should look like, and how to present the site
- Developing new user-facing features
- Building reusable codes
- Optimizing page loading times
- Using a variety of languages and frameworks (including React) to create web pages and components.
- Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Building solutions that adhere-to or evolve the rules of our internal Design System.
- Coding experiences that will pass AA WCAG accessibility standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Review and understand requirements.
- Use applicable unit testing frameworks to ensure code quality and adequate test coverage.
- Apply thoughtful consideration to security, accessibility, privacy, and performance during development.
- Establish logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
- Analyze production data to ensure front-ends are optimized for speed, scalability, performance, and security.
- Work with operations team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Ensure applications are resilient and highly available.
- Keep current with technological developments within the industry.
- Ensure application compatibility with upcoming hardware and software updates.
- Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
- Adhere to company guidelines around security, accessibility, and privacy.
- Work independently on features while also participating in architecture and solution design.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
