Skywood Recovery Center is a residential treatment facility offering integrated treatment for substance-use disorders. Skywood Recovery provides individual and group therapy, experiential therapy, equine and art therapy, and yoga. The Business Development Representative is responsible for establishing, developing and growing the assigned territory and specific accounts. This position is responsible for driving results for their region by engaging both new and existing referral sources.


Qualifications

Position Summary

Case Manager will provide quality substance abuse case management services according to the program's established policies and procedures. Case Manager conducts in administrative needs of the program, bio-psycho-social assessments, and any required intake/assessment tasks, conducting group sessions and participates in the development of group content.

Job Duties and Responsibilities to Include:

*Run one to two intensive outpatient groups per week

*Complete group notes

*Complete intake appointments

*Complete insurance authorizations

*Complete appeals for denied authorizations

*Manage and update daily spreadsheets (case utilization management and census management)

*Train on MS4 program, admit patients into IOP/PHP/Mental Health programs

*Send out admission and financial paperwork to new patients as needed

*Send out daily census email in Christine's absence

*Month end duties (MS4 entering INSV into all accounts/flipping insurance flags/verifying insurance monthly to ensure active for all patients)

*Help with verifying patients' insurance upon admission into the program

*Help with scheduling Intakes

*Training on how to take patient payments and enter into daily cash log

*Work Mondays through Fridays, mornings will be spent on business office roles in business office, and afternoons will be spent on therapy role.

* May assess perspective patients for treatment, identifying psychosocial, substance use, mental health and medical issues to determine if patient meets admission requirements.

* Attends staff meetings as indicated and treatment team meetings when necessary to monitor results.

* Performs all other duties as required or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to inspire client confidence in the FRN Staff and the FRN Model of Treatment.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate through conduct and communications the stability required to effectively assist patients and their family members through the FRN Model of Treatment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of substance abuse, group process, and discharge planning.
  • Experience in completing assessment and group therapy to adults with addictive and mental health disorders.
  • Experience with facilitating didactic and experiential groups.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to use Motivational Interviewing techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage high volume of client related paperwork.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
  • Exercise good judgment, apply common sense and successfully handle ambiguity.
  • Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Proficiency in MS Access (or other database program) is preferred.
  • Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.
  • Exhibits excellent customer relation skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, residents, visitors, families and referral sources.
  • Knowledge of group process, group facilitation, and conflict resolution.

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in social work, counseling, psychology or mental health and a minimum of one year of substance abuse experience required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervised substance abuse experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Sits, stands, lifts and moves intermittently during work hours.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to be physically mobile, climb stairs, traverse the campus on uneven terrain.
  • Position requires substantial work on the computer requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Ability to read, write and analyze detailed and complex information.
  • A current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required for use of company vehicles.
  • Due to the 24/7 operational demands, must be available after normal working hours and on holidays to manage emergencies that may arise.
