Job Description

The Workplace Technologies team is looking for an experienced systems engineer in SaaS and cloud platform management. We strive to enhance employee communication and collaboration by modernizing our video conferencing hardware systems and end-user application experience with a cloud-first mentality. This role's primary function will be to manage, deploy, and support Microsoft Teams, MS Teams Rooms (MTR), Microsoft Voice for Visa at the enterprise level. The ideal candidate will be able lead and drive solution architecture/design with system migrations, third-party integrations, platform automations, end-point monitoring, improving our security posture, and ensuring our software systems consistently interop with our hardware stacks. We seek a candidate that can be a thought leader in IT modernization, standardization, and possesses a deep technical understanding about video conferencing.

This role will also be key in representing unified communications (UC), audio-visual (AV), and telephony with cross-org partners in IT, Corporate Services, Information Security, and our external suppliers, plus internal stakeholders. We seek someone that is not solely a team player, but demonstrates quality leadership, showcases critical thinking and curiosity while problem solving, contributes to a collective solution-oriented attitude, and maintains foresight of effective communication.

Essential Functions:

  • Architect, plan, and aid in legacy video conferencing infra migration efforts to the cloud.
  • Drive telephony infrastructure changes to improve data management and voice operations.
  • Co-own, manage, administer, and set policies in MS Teams, MTR, and MS Voice.
  • Architect, design, and implement new solutions, or solution enhancements, within the collaborations space and Microsoft environment as pertains to voice and video.
  • Initiate and participate in R&D efforts, primarily testing and validation, with emerging UC, AV, and AI technologies (both software and hardware).
  • Partner with our Information Security Office to ensure our solutions meet Visa Security Requirements; coordinate amongst pen-testers, your team, and suppliers as needed.
  • Lead technical investigations, impact analysis, and remediation of security alerts for existing solutions; help monitor/maintain system security for voice and video systems.
  • Provide Tier 3 engineering support for escalated issues detecting deep-seeded or systemic issues within our voice and video environment and monitoring for high-level event broadcasts using MS Teams Live and or Town Hall.
  • Participate in and lead team trainings, process improvements, operational excellence, and project/artifact documentation (whitepapers, post-mortems, RCA's, SOP's, etc.).
  • Provided ground support, when needed, to fellow IT Support and Build Eng teams at your assigned office related to Workplace Technologies and our AV hardware stack.
  • Help foster a culture of diverse thought and inclusion with consideration to diverse backgrounds and teammates in other time zones.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of IT systems engineering experience in the UC/AV space (voice and video) for a large, global enterprise company deploying solutions and remediations at scale.
  • 3+ years managing and configuring Microsoft Teams/Rooms, Skype Rooms, or Zoom Rooms platform(s) at an L3 capacity, including hardware provisioning (Windows OS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in telecommunications, E911, SBC; familiar with network protocols, routing/switching/QoS, proxies, and firewalls - as related to voice and video.
  • Experience with integrating third-party apps using APIs, connectors, or webhooks.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 services (Azure, Exchange, etc.) and sandboxing.
  • Experience with scripting automations in PowerShell; building custom dashboards.
  • Practice in solution delivery within the ITIL framework using a design methodology.
  • Practice in troubleshooting, issue diagnosis, mitigation planning, and remediation.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, leadership skills along with effective oral/written communication skills; experience using ticketing systems like ServiceNow or JIRA
  • MS-700 Certification
  • Hands-on experience with AV products particularly from Logitech and QSC (Q-SYS).
  • Previous direct experience handling TMS, CUCM, RPRM, Audiocodes.
  • Previous direct experience deploying Cisco Video Conferencing and Webex Rooms.
  • Previous direct experience with troubleshooting video and network hardware.
  • Experience in using broadcast platforms such as VBrick, Vimeo.
  • Experience creating Power BI and Azure dashboards.
  • Python experience.

  • Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.
  • Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 172,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
