Location:

This position may be assigned tothe Livonia Service Center located in Livonia, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).

We are looking for: Mechanical Engineer(TPSE)

The Mechanical Engineer assist in the development, design and testing of new products or systems. The incumbent works on a team with other engineers, scientist, and technicians on moderately complex projects to ensure that their projects meet all relevant safety standards and specifications. The Mechanical Engineer tests mechanical and electromechanical products and systems and is responsible for the mechanical testing and maintenance of products in production, as well as testing prototypes.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university with two (2) or more years of applicable engineering work experience
  • [OR]Bachelor's degree in engineering from a non-ABET accredited university with a Professional Engineering license with two (2) or more years of applicable engineering work experience

In this role, you will:

• Install remote operated valves and pressure limiting devices
• Design, control, and implement mechanical systems andproducts

• Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving mechanical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes
• Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software andequipment
• Collaborate with customers, coworkers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products orprojects
• Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing mechanical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps
• Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailedcalculations
• Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities
• Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential mechanical engineering projects andstudies
• Preparing specifications for purchases of mechanical equipment and materials and estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
• Other non-essential duties as assigned or may benecessary
