Job Description

Visa's Global B2B Communications Analyst will support the foundational communications efforts of the Global Commercial & Money Movement Solutions (CMS) Communications team.

The Analyst will play a critical role in project management of multiple communications campaigns and work streams. Beyond project management, the Analyst will also support media relations efforts – including briefing book support, drafting written communications materials, media list development, media tracking and measurement support and establishing relationships with key journalists. This individual will also support executive visibility efforts budget tracking, measurement and supporting the CMS team organization and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a clear understanding of the changing media landscape, strong research and problem-solving skills, creative thinking, project management expertise, a global mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The role reports to the Head of CMS communications and is based in San Francisco. Fully remote employees will not be considered.

Essential Functions

  • Work across the Global CMS Communications team to support and promote integrated communications programs.

  • Project manage communications plans, managing timelines from beginning to end of the project.

  • Manage and distribute media monitoring.

  • Update and manage various Visa fact sheets & quarterly communications briefing book.

  • Reporting and tracking against CMS workstreams, including research and executive visibility.

  • Support ongoing communication with Visa’s network of global communications partners, including compiling agendas and drafting recaps.

  • Manage weekly executive communications updates and distribute to broader team.

  • Review, evaluate and track corporate speaking requests.

  • Develop reporter briefing documents and speaking briefs for various Visa executives.

  • Assist in creation of written materials, including but not limited to: news releases, blog posts, fact sheets, executive briefing materials, opinion pieces, and related collateral and social media extension.

  • Build strong internal relationships with business partners and communication colleagues.

  • Assisting with developing and updating PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and other documents as needed.

  • Preparing meeting materials including assisting with the creation of presentations, handouts and other related materials.

  • Act as a lead on the facilitating and coordination of communications and administrative procedures across the team.

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced
Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications
•3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2
years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD)
•3-5 years communications experience, ideally with a mix of agency and internal
position.
•Creative, curious, positive and high-energy individual with an ability to execute.
•Knowledge of social and digital communication channels.
•Highly effective project management skills and proven track-record of
managing projects within a highly matrixed organization or teams.
•Comfortable collaborating with teammates in marketing, legal & product.
•Experience working on large events that require cross-functional collaboration.
•Exceptional writing and editing skills, including social media copywriting.
•Effective at problem solving.
•Expertise in all Microsoft Office programs.
•Understanding of social media best practices and basic performance metrics,
specifically for Twitter and LinkedIn.
•Excellent verbal communication, including interpersonal and presentation
skills.
•Able to build a large network of colleagues across functions and geographies.
•Excellent attention to detail, strong organization and time management skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 98,000.00 to 138,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
