Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Product Management, Filtration, leads our filtration products portfolio for use in bioprocess applications, including strategy, end to end life cycle management and top and bottom line growth. This role will be a unique combination of external partnership development and traditional product life cycle management to differentiate in the marketplace, excite customers and achieve growth for the business.

Location: US hybrid or remote

  • Develop long-range product strategies and guide fiscal planning for future positioning, growth, and evolution of the filtration product platform. This includes identifying, establishing, and leading strategic collaborations, customers, suppliers, and industry opinion leaders.
  • Partner closely with our innovation and business development teams to identify and mature opportunities for partnership and value creation in the filtration space, including but not limited to reselling, licensing, co-developing, OEM-in, co-marketing, and other partnership agreements
  • Lead the filtration biomanufacturing portfolio of products with P&L responsibility, including meeting or exceeding revenue and gross margin targets, lead all aspects of business including strategy, product life cycle, and innovation
  • Lead commercial go to market effort and work hand-in-hand with our commercial teams to implement commercial strategies to enhance market share gain and customer satisfaction for filtration products; Drive demand through impactful sales and marketing campaigns
  • Provide data related to competitors, the market, product and capability positioning, revenue and unit or capacity forecasting working with planning functions, identifying key business priorities, and pricing strategies
  • Participate in senior leadership team meetings and in strategic planning, including setting objectives and strategies as well as take accountability for implementation and results
  • Lead business annual strategic plan development including STRAP (5 Year Strategy), strategy deployment and AOP (Annual Operating Plan)
  • Work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization to achieve results including driving cross-business unit and divisional initiatives
  • Be a key opinion leader (KOL) for the filtration portfolio, represent Thermo Fisher Scientific externally at conferences and tradeshows, able to effectively communicate product strategy and tactics to the market
  • Function as the business owner/ ambassador to division and enterprise partners

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific, business, finance, or technical field required; Master's degree in scientific field or MBA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years experience in life sciences industry, product management, or market development
  • 2+ years technical or commercial experience with NFF, TFF, and other filtration technologies for bioprocessing applications
  • 2+ years experience of global filtration markets and competitive landscape
  • Strong financial (P&L), business case development, and analytical capabilities
  • Technical competence and familiarity with bioproduction or closely related industry
  • Demonstrated ability to make clear decisions in ambiguous scenarios
  • Results oriented with high sense of urgency
  • Strong management, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and adopting changes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in matrix organizational structure

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $143,000.00-$214,475.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
