Staffmark is thrilled to offer a direct-hire opportunity for a Welding Inspector in Jonesboro, AR. Join our client, a leading producer of engineering and construction machinery, and embark on an exciting new chapter in your career!

Salary: $37,440-$41,600 per year

Shift Availability: 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

As a Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating robotic welding equipment safely and efficiently. Your essential functions will include operating robotic welders in a production environment. Additionally, you may also be responsible for CMM inspection duties, which involve inspecting coordinate measuring machines using a probe, developing inspection programs, ensuring machine functionality, and calibrating equipment for accurate measurement.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 60 lbs, and perform bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling tasks
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, basic math skills, and accurate reading and writing
  • Previous welding experience is advantageous
  • Good motor skills and the ability to obtain or possess a valid forklift license
  • Familiarity with reading gauges, understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and programming GMAW (mig) welders or computer skills are a plus
