This opportunity is in the Information Services Department.

Role Description:

In the role of Vulnerability Management Engineer (internally known as, Systems Engineer II) you will be working for the End User Computing team which responsible for a variety of user-facing resources including desktop and laptop computers, virtual desktops, operating systems, smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other mobile devices. Additionally, the team is responsible for packaging / deployment and delivery of desktop applications, and enterprise mobility management.

This role is responsible for building, maintaining a stable and secure infrastructure, providing Tier 2 and 3 technical support of end users, and administering virtual application and desktops.

Additionally, the role contributes to the creation of Infrastructure technical roadmaps, standards, metrics, and architectural methodologies within a specific area of focus.

Some of the Essential Functions of this role are:

  • Experience with vulnerability remediation and vulnerability management practices
  • Drive continuous improvements in vulnerability management processes and tools by leveraging industry-leading technologies, automation, and data-driven insights.
  • Participates in a vulnerability management program that aligns with enterprise objectives and risk appetite.
  • Administration and maintenance of infrastructure including servers, workstations, virtual applications and desktops
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelors' degree
  • 4 plus years professional Information Technology experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
  • Hands on experience in packaging and deployment of software.
  • Hands on experience with patch management tools including Microsoft SCCM.
  • Hands on experience with Active Directory and related services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, analytical, problem solving and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focused
  • Detail oriented and possess a desire for quality.

The target salary range for this position is $90,000 to $144,000 .Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographical location.
