The Role
We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team to support technical presales activities. As a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding our clients' technical needs and presenting them with customized solutions.
In this role, you will be a technical expert in the technology and products we use supporting our sales team throughout the whole sales cycles and up to implementation. In addition to working with customers, and sales team, you will work closely with a group of Software Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and DevOps Engineers. About CCC Safekeep:
Safekeep is a business unit that focuses on automating insurance claim subrogation for auto, workers compensation, property, and general liability claims.
Safekeep leverages data analysis and AI/Machine learning packaged into a smart workflow engine to:
• Identify claims with subrogation potential
• Minimize the impact of subrogation team turnover
• Decrease the administrative costs of subrogation
• Simplify and optimize cross-carrier interaction
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our solutions.
- Collaborate with the product development team to stay updated on the latest product features and enhancements.
- Create technical documentation and proposals for clients, addressing their specific needs.
- Provide technical support during the sales cycle, including answering technical queries and participating in proof-of-concept activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their evolving technical needs.
- Acting as a liaison between sales and engineering groups.
- Understand the underlying technologies and products we use.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline
- 2+ years of experience developing in the cloud (AWS/Azure) using Python/NodeJS/C++/Java.
- 4+ years of industry experience in software development, data engineering or a related field with a solid track record of building services for manipulating, processing datasets
- Hands-on experience knowledge of SQL/Non-relational, Data Modeling.
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communication, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and team player with a passion for staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Nice to Have:
- Background in financial services including banking, insurance, or an equivalent.
- Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field and 7+ years industry experience.
- Knowledge and experience with data management and data storage best practices
- Experience working with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, and IAM.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
