This is your opportunity to join one of the largest and leading online suppliers in the food service industry. Due to rapid growth, our brand new, 650,000 sq. ft. facility located in Dayton NV is currently looking for hardworking, reliable and highly motivated individuals to join our team. This position's descriptions are designed to outline the primary job duties and qualifications, but are not limited to cross-training responsibilities. We offer on-site training and mentoring for all positions.

BASIC OVERVIEW

Outbound Associates are responsible for efficiently and accurately shipping orders, ensuring they are processed and shipped in a timely and secure manner. Some of these positions require forklift operation. Outbound Associates will receive in-house training for success in their position. You will be expected to work at a fast pace, be attentive to detail, willing to work hard with a good attitude, and be able to embrace change. You will be using a number of different body mechanics including, but not limited to, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

SHIFT SCHEDULE

Monday-Thursday

5:45 pm - 4:15 am

WAGE

Starting Wage is $25/hr, with the potential raise every 6 months of up to $0.88.

ESSENTIAL JOBS AND JOB FUNCTIONS

Order Picker-

  1. Drive an order picker to assigned bins, identifying proper items and quantities for all orders
  2. Walk to assigned bins, identifying proper items and quantities for all orders
  3. Ensure that all orders are picked properly in a timely manner with strong attention to detail
  4. Use a scanner to verify and identify products and then load products onto a conveyor belt

Consolidator-

  1. Use scanners to verify and identify products pulled by pickers and received in consolidating area
  2. Accurately identify corresponding orders to ensure that customers receive their complete orders in a short time frame
  3. Organize and consolidate products of completed orders in totes, then placing them into put wall cubbies to be packed

Order Packer-

  1. Use a scanner & SPS system to verify and identify products while ensuring that all orders are packed properly in a timely manner with strong attention to detail
  2. Identify correct box size and downsize packaging to minimize shipping costs without sacrificing product quality and ensure that the product will be delivered without damage
  3. Find and enter important shipping information into the SPS system
  4. Bill and ship completed orders by utilizing warehouse systems (i.e. computer software, SPS system, scanners, conveyor, CVP)
  5. Place completed packages on packing belt and/or palletize finished shipments for loading on truck

Truck Loader-

  1. Accurately identify carrier based off label on package
  2. Move palletized product from non-con and fast track taping areas to load onto proper designated trucks if needed
  3. Efficiently stack packages into correct trailer based on carrier in an interlocking pattern
  4. Lock out incoming trailers and unlock outgoing trailers

FastTrack Bundler-

  1. Ensure that all fast track orders are accurately and efficiently taped/bundled together in a timely manner with strong attention to detail
  2. Ship completed orders by utilizing conveyor belt system
  3. Use manual pallet jack to move palletized cases of product to designated secure areas if needed
  4. Use attention to detail to match correct quantities of product for respective orders to ensure accuracy

ALL OUTBOUND POSITIONS-

  1. Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment to carry out job duties; adhere to all safety training and Company policies
  2. Adhere to attendance policy by maintaining regular, predictable on-site attendance
  3. Clearly communicate with manager any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties
  4. Report any forklift issues to the Team Lead or Manager promptly to ensure they are properly resolved.
  5. Meet or exceed the department standards for productivity and accuracy
  6. Maintain a clean work area, including the removal of empty boxes from bins or aisles as needed
  7. Other duties as assigned

  7. Have the ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
  8. Have a customer-focused attitude and demonstrate a desire to exceed expectations

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  1. Must be 18 or older
  2. 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred
  3. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Work a full shift which could range from 8-10 hours.
  2. Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policy.
  3. Complete and pass all equipment training
  4. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office- primarily excel, word and teams.
  5. Business proficiency in the ability to read, write, and communicate in English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  1. Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10 hours/day
  2. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
  3. Requires the regular use of hands and wrists for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  4. Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
  5. Requires the ability to regularly lift/carry 50-75lbs. and push/pull up to 150lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
