IT Project Manager - Office 365 Implementation and Infrastructure (CONSULTANT)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to lead the enterprise-wide implementation of Office 365, followed by the management of additional smaller projects within the infrastructure technologies group. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and IT standards.

Overall Responsibility

We're looking to add a Project Manager to our fast-growing company. In this role, you'll architect robust solutions for the manufacturing industry. You'll lead and manage all aspects of Infrastructure project implementations, which includes collecting requirements, building workflows, user interfaces, security profiles, reports, training/demonstrating, handling support issues, and more. Travel is a component of this role in order to properly deploy solutions in support of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of the Office 365 implementation project across the enterprise, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and budget.
Serve as the primary liaison between IT, department heads, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication, understanding of project goals, and stakeholder expectations.
Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
Potential projects also cover intersection with Desktop, Server, Network and Information Security Initiatives
Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to ensure continuous improvement.
Transition to leading subsequent infrastructure technology projects, applying best practices and lessons learned from the Office 365 implementation.
Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans.
Maintain strict attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability in IT operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with direct experience in Office 365 implementations and infrastructure projects either internally via an IT organization or externally with a consulting firm or Managed Service Provider.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and enterprise software applications.
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to solve problems creatively and effectively manage complex projects.
Experience working with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
