What You Can Expect

As a Land Advisor, you will support the Land Acquisition team to develop land acquisition strategies for greenfield projects, existing project initiatives, and the acquisition of projects dedicated to renewable energy.

Every day you will work with ENGIE management to develop successful land acquisition strategies for green field projects, existing projects, and project acquisitions. Organize and deliver compelling presentations to landowners and take ownership of assigned land acquisition projects by managing project timelines, meeting deadlines, and defining clear project objectives. You will collaborate with the business development, legal, and project management teams to ensure the overall success of each land acquisition initiative. Manage a minimum of two (2) Land Agents.

  • Obtain source documentation needed for easements or leases from public records, located in county courthouses or abstract offices. Organize documents, records and files pertaining each project and landowner assigned to the land agent
  • Negotiate and acquire easements/leases for wind and energy solar energy development and related agreements from project landowners with a comprehensive understanding of the terms and conditions of the Company's land agreements
  • Engage with and assist the project manager with surface use agreements and other issues as they arise
  • Manage land inventory by communicating with landowners as necessary for the development team to prepare for construction of the wind project
  • Stay up to date with applicable federal, state, or local regulations as they relate to the development of the wind project
  • Engage with outside third-party land agents to help secure land in areas of interest
  • Ownership of assigned projects, including managing deadlines, multiple project objectives, project timelines, and success criteria for each

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in which you have studied business, engineering, finance, or equivalent program in which you have gained an understanding of contracts, agreements, and effective negotiation strategies

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of land acquisition experience with a minimum of three (3) years of renewable energy related land acquisition experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate matters, applicable federal, state, and local regulations for renewable energy development projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Green IT Data Base
  • Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Access/database
  • Collaborative individual willing to shift focus quickly and efficiently between varying priorities
  • Ability to manage third party land acquisition teams
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently with solid organizational skills, and keen attention to detail

Additional Details

  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 60% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record; for car rentals or personal vehicle while performing company business
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 - $172,500 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
