How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:

Manages the aquatic program, including aquatic programming, outdoor and indoor pools, and trains lifeguards and aquatic staff.

• Manages lifeguards and aquatics staff for indoor and outdoor facilities. Enforces policies and manages corrective action as needed.
• Authorizes class scheduling; ensures aquatic classes and events have appropriate staff.
• Oversees aquatics reservations and coordinates all events and programs with other departments.
• Maintains, develops, implements, and enforces department policies and procedures.
• Promotes, schedules, and teaches swimming lessons.
• Manages visual and physical pool inspections for safety, chemical and temperature controls, and proper mechanical operations. Oversees cleaning and preparing outdoor pool opening and closing.
• Oversees opening and closing of the outdoor pool. Manages outdoor pool season.
• Hires aquatic and lifeguard staff. Oversees orientation and training program for employees.
• Manages CPR/AED staff certificates.

What We Require:

Education: High school diploma

Experience: 1-2 years aquatic experience.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Lifeguard, CPO certifications required, WSI preferred.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must always be ON CALL (including weekends) to handle chemical, mechanical and lifeguard issues. Available to handle issues at least 2 weekends per month or approve a backup individual for ON CALL as needed.
