The Opportunity:

Business Operations is seeking a Surplus Property Manager to assist the warehouse management team with daily responsibilities, including the pickup, preparation, and disposition of certified surplus property. The incumbent will also assist Postal Services and other Business Services groups, as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surplus property for disposition, including testing, cleaning, configuring, measuring, and photographing.

  • Assist external customers with pick up and payment of purchased surplus items.

  • Ensure property dispositions performed are in accordance with data security policies.

  • Pickup and disposition of surplus property: Operate specialty lifting gear and other warehouse equipment for the removal of surplus property from various campus locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, Or an equivalent combination of education and experiencepursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in retail management.

  • Forklift Certification.

Health Assessment Required:

UCF policy requires the completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

This is an auxiliary (AUX) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Position requires a valid Class E driver's license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
