Description

Retired senior seeks reliable, experienced housekeeper for regular cleaning & help with light chores in elegant 3-story home in N. Asheville. 15 hours per week, days negotiable. Since the work routine may vary as needed, I offer an hourly rate ($30).

Native Spanish-speaker a plus. You must be honest, pleasant, good communicator, have references, your own transportation, be agile and able to use stairs and 3-step ladders, bring no children or pets along. Owner provides all needed supplies and products. 

Duties Include: 

  • Dusting (rooms, furniture, wooden blinds) 
  • Vacuuming (rugs, upholstered furniture)
  • Sweeping or Swiffering wooden floors, hallways.  
  • Cleaning: Bathrooms, 
  • Kitchen, appliance surfaces,
  • Bedrooms, 
  • Office,
  • Library,
  • Closets,  
  • Entryway, vestibules.
  • Help with minor projects, as time permits 
    Occasionally (a few times per year):
  • Help clean & organize in garage. 
  • Help clean accessible glass windows (indoors and on covered deck)  
  • Sweep porches, dust sconces, ext. doors. 
  • The whole house cannot be cleaned in one visit, or even in two. But it can be cleaned once a month, with each visit dedicated to a careful cleaning of one of the house's main zones, and providing a helping hand on incidental projects, as time permits.
  • An individual who meets these qualifications, and who is energetic, cooperative, and likes to clean will enjoy working here!
