Your Role: We are looking for an innovation-centric Azure Engineer to join our Azure Center of Excellence who is passionate about cloud computing, designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based software applications meeting the business requirements at Genmab. The Azure Engineer will interface directly with the business and their product-oriented-delivery teams, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that the PODs get high quality cloud services. The Cloud Engineer will support primarily the US business but will be part of a multinational team covering US, Holland, and Denmark where we work actively to help each other succeed and build a high-quality cloud platform.

This position will be based out of Princeton, NJ and will be onsite 60% of the time.

Your Responsibility:

  • Execute the design, development, and deployment of a robust and scalable cloud-based applications and platforms tailored for our business needs.
  • Leverage automated scripting for software deployment, deploy IaC and spin up resources for software stacks working with the product-oriented-delivery.
  • Enable migrations to the cloud, configure cloud infrastructure components like networking and security services, create applications and databases that perform on the cloud, monitor cloud management and data storage services.
  • Become a trusted advisor to the business and help them leverage state-of-the-art cloud services such as AI.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Azure Center of Excellence helping us develop new services that will allow the business to move faster and be more successful.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of the platform, adhering to best practices for cloud infrastructure.
  • Embrace the Agile framework, the iterative and incremental approach for solving technical problems.
  • Continuously discover and evaluate options for development efficiency. Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
  • Ensuring that implementations follow best practices and relevant standards such as GxP.
  • Play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining a state-of-the-art cloud-based platform that empowers our business.

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience in Life Sciences, Biotech or Pharma industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing cloud-based applications, Infrastructure as code, systems engineering or infrastructure administration.
  • Strong knowledge in Cloud computing, containerization, orchestration, programming, automated pipelines, cloud migration and cloud services.
  • Advanced level proficiency in programming languages Terraform, Biceps or similar.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline building for building, integrating, and deploying new software while conducting code quality checks, security checks and integration tests.
  • Experience with agile mode of delivery DevSecOps processes (tools such as GitLab), DevOps Configuration Management, automation, and testing in an enterprise environment. Knowledge of cloud security and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, security, and experience working with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience in virtualization, scalability, load balancing, cost optimization for resilient and reliable infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Logic Apps, Azure VM, Azure Open AI etc.
  • Excellent Communication skills, problem solving skills and technical expertise.
  • Azure Certified AZ-900, AZ-303, AZ-302 etc. are nice to have.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$114,375.00---$190,625.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
