Job Description Summary

This position works independently or within a team to assemble metal parts by operating a machine and using fixtures.

Job Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Operates machine, fixtures and tools to permanently install fasteners into detail parts or assemblies. * Positions parts on metal fixture on workstation as required for assembly. * Adjusts as necessary to maintain quality parts. * Positions containers of needed parts near station for use. * Retrieves and loads onto station all parts for assembly. * Retrieves empty containers for finished assemblies. * Inspects parts for quality. * Reports quantities of non-conforming parts disposed of. * Performs operator maintenance for machines and tools. * Communicates machine or fixture problems for correction. * Retrieves and applies specified lubricants to assemblies. * Other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties * Basic reading and writing skills * Basic math knowledge * Achieve performance standards OUR PURPOSE: We are La-Z-Boy Incorporated.
