The role of Financial Accountant will assist with the month end close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts and performing various analyses for daily accounting activities. This role will also be responsible for various activities to support the sales teams and project managers at Xplore Business. The individual should have a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and have experience using ERP financial systems.

• Perform month end close activities that include preparing journal entries and supporting schedules along with balance sheet reconciliations for accrued liabilities, intercompany accounts, bank and other assigned accounts.
• Assist with process improvements, GL account setups and SAP and Blackline automation initiatives as required.
• Perform various analyses related to daily accounting activities and business requests; improve and update reports as required.
• Assist with quarter-end and year-end audit requirements.
• Support the Sales team and Project Managers for the Xplore Business by resolving requests in Salesforce related to LTE/Fiber/SAT installations.
• Create purchase orders (POs) for the Xplore Business and coordinate requirements with • Accounts Payable to complete the Goods Receipt.
• Create Internal Orders (IOs) for all capital projects including corporate installations and prepare monthly USD billing for the Xplore Business.
• Provide Dealer support and Customer management support via Account Admin Queue and the Enterprise Billing Email group.

• Solid understanding of IFRS
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience using ERP financial systems (SAP preferred)
• Enrolled or working towards a professional accounting designation (CPA)
• Accurate and very detailed-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Quick to learn and self-motivated
• Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Demonstrated organization and time management skills
• Strong team player
• High degree of integrity and professionalism
• Bilingual in English/ French is an asset
