This is an exciting time to join the Executive Office of Health & Human Services (EOHHS). The EHS Health Policy team, led by the Undersecretary for Health, serves as the Secretary's lead in advancing the Administration's health policy priorities and goals. These include health equity, behavioral health, reproductive/perinatal health, health care coverage and affordability, health system planning and performance, primary care, long-term care, social determinants of health, and health IT. The EHS Policy Team is comprised of a team of committed, collaborative, and purpose-driven professionals who are driven by the possibilities and positive outcomes of advancing the Administration's health policy goals.

The EHS Policy Team seeks a Health Policy Manager who will help support the Undersecretary's team in oversight of this portfolio of high-priority, inter-departmental policy initiatives, with a particular focus on health equity and partnership with the Interagency Health Equity Team (IHET). To be successful in this role, you must be a master relationship builder, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and juggle competing requests and interests while being unflappable.

Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all-inclusive):
• Manage ongoing strategic planning efforts working across EOHHS agencies to advance the Secretariat's health equity strategy.
• Review and analyze health-policy-related programs and developments.
• Direct and implement policy development and coordination along with operational policies.
• Partner with key collaborators across EOHHS to provide policy input into programs and initiatives.
• Participate in meetings and forums with other EOHHS offices and external stakeholders, including management teams across EOHHS.

Preferred Experience:
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with high-level officials and executives.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and to work under time constraints.
• Experience managing a variety of projects and processes.
• Ability to effectively implement change management.

Qualifications

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have at least (A) five (5) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management of which (B) at least one (1) year must have been in a project management, supervisory or managerial capacity or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.

Substitutions:

I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required (A) experience.

II. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience.

III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (A) experience.

IV. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required (A) experience.
