Product Costing Analyst

What This Position Is About

To be responsible for determining and analyzing the costs associated with producing several products related to the tobacco industry.
The role involves calculating the various expenses involved in manufacturing a product - materials, labor, overhead, and other associated costs.
These costs are crucial for decision-making processes within the business, including pricing strategies, budgeting, profitability analysis, and cost control measures.

Who Are We Looking For - Requirements

  • BA degree in (in Business or Finance preferred);
  • Previous experience in FMCG company in Finance function;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint) as well as SAP;

Areas of Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation: Predicting the costs of manufacturing a product or providing a service based on factors such as materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses;
  • Cost Analysis: Examining and analyzing cost data to identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and opportunities to optimize resource utilization;
  • Pricing Analysis: Collaborating with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop pricing strategies that ensure profitability while remaining competitive in the market;
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts by providing accurate cost data and insights into cost trends and variances;
  • Inventory Valuation: Determining the cost of inventory and ensuring accurate valuation methods are used in financial reporting and inventory management;
  • Costing Systems Management: Maintaining and improving cost accounting systems and processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments such as production, procurement, finance, and supply chain to gather relevant data and insights for cost analysis and decision-making;
  • Performance Reporting: Preparing and presenting reports and analyses to management to communicate cost performance, variances, and recommendations for improvement;
