Job Posting Title: Copywriter Intern Department: Creative Services Reports to: Senior Copywriter/Editor Location: Topeka, KS Overview: We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and collaborative Copywriter Intern to join our Strategic Communications team. You'll be creating and editing top-notch content for our corporate and consumer-facing marketing initiatives. If you're a clever wordsmith, have an interest in financial services and keen attention to detail, we'd love to work with you. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Working with our team to create clear, creative, concise and attention-grabbing content for independent financial advisors and their clients
• Writing copy for all sorts of media, from print to digital
• Proofing and editing materials to ensure they're accurate and error-free
• Organizing archives and coordinating thank you gifts for AE's quarterly magazine
• Various tasks to keep the team running smoothly

What do we need from you?

• College-level coursework in advertising, mass communications/journalism, marketing or English
• Strong communicator
• Familiarity with AP style
• Ability to write error-free content, especially when juggling multiple projects
• Experience with or willingness to learn about AI writing tools
• Work well independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organization and time management skills

Bonus Points:

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• Experience with project management software (we use Workfront)
