Position: Business Development & Innovation Data Stewardship Manager

Team: Advancement + Innovation

Role Overview: The Business Development & Innovation team continues to grow at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and we are eager to announce the new position of Data Stewardship Manager who will support our frontline leaders in Corporate Sponsorships and the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives (new), this team member will also contribute to new and soon-to-be-implemented CRMs and platforms closely aligned with our Operations Team. This position will offer invaluable support to the frontline team including the immediate responsibilities scoped below. The ideal candidate will contribute as a team player with a can-do, positive attitude, willing and able to collaborate with many internal counterparts to achieve their day-to-day progress. As data management becomes ever more integral to the success of our fundraising work, the Manager, Data Stewardship will need to be highly organized, anticipatory, exercise strong communication skills, creative, connect the dots across portfolios, have incredible attention for detail, effectively manage many simultaneous tasks, and implement and consistently manage key systems that keep the team running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

In support of the Business Development + Innovation Team, this team member will be responsible for the following main areas (not limited to):

Portfolio Analysis and Strategy Development

  • Ensure the team-wide fundraising portfolio is kept up to date by reconciling data between different systems and sources.
  • Collaborate with various teams to streamline data flow and maintain consistency across platforms.
  • Implement protocols for data reconciliation to minimize discrepancies and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Collaborate with identified team leads/partners to connect the dots and glean areas of opportunity, informing go-forward strategy for frontline fundraisers
  • Regularly educate, inform, and train team members on best practices, new learnings, and platform management

Data Management

  • Contribute to project management platform infrastructure/platform architecture to best manage consistent data input
  • Clearview Management for BDI team Input and pull data as relevant to BDI portfolios
  • Collaborate with A+I cross-team leads to effectively and efficiently migrate data and onboard new platforms
  • Contribute to definition of best practices and guide implementation of Tessitura for BDI team
  • Support the BDI team in migrating the data from to Tessitura when the time comes to make this significant transition
  • Key List Management, utilize aforementioned platforms to best manage supporter and prospect touchpoints, event attendance, artistic preferences, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with frontline leads and Special Events to ensure visibility and to share latest reports/key learnings

Metrics Management

  • Work with BDI team leads to define key data metrics for FY25 and beyond
  • Align work with team metrics to garner most relevant and useful data analysis

Research Effectiveness

  • Ensure that BDI is leveraging research resources to prospect, maintain latest portfolio knowledge, update data management platforms with accurate/latest intel

Frontline Team Thought-Partner

  • Perform regular data scrubbing and cross portfolio analysis
  • Identify white spaces for frontline team members

  • Interest in brand/partner prospecting, research, and analysis
  • Ability to quickly search and find information, contacts, profiles
  • Ability to prioritize team needs, consistently communicating with manager(s) to ensure all is done in a timely manner
  • Ability to create a workflow system with managers and key team members that creates an ecosystem that flows with the cadence of fiscal year and in anticipation of the next
  • Implement effective strategies using organization preferred platforms to keep close track of prospects and existing members/sponsors
  • Think proactively about how to best support the team and what they may need to improve their systems and processes
  • Learn systems of other teams (i.e. research, operations) in order to best collaborate and work within their established best practices
