This is a full-time position with day shift hours.
Job Summary:
The Market Development and Outreach Specialist is a community development and member outreach role, responsible for a geographic area generating millions of dollars in annual revenue. Creates marketplace opportunities to showcase Sentara Health Plans (SHP) programs and services for Medicaid beneficiaries, advocates and community leaders. Initiates and develops community activities that drive membership growth or retention. Initiates grass-roots stakeholder development in support of SHP goals. Provides on-site management of events. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding, analyzing and articulating complex issues in the Medicaid program or in the community, including emerging health care issues.
Use of personal vehicle required.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required

Previous experience in CRM Databases
