The Accounting Intern will work collaboratively with the Accounting and Financial Reporting teams responsible for the company's general accounting, consolidation, financial reporting and technical accounting functions. This role will assist the Accounting team in ensuring the company is adhering to GAAP and company policy and procedures.















Responsibilities









    Assist the Accounting team in the preparation of monthly review package for executive leadership including compilation and review of schedules submitted by other accounting and finance team members for accuracy, consistency and completeness.
  • Assist with updating standard operating procedures and internal control documentation.
  • Conduct technical accounting research for various accounting issues and draft related policies.
  • Preparation of journal entry and related account analysis support. Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents.
  • Review and compile requests associated with various business agreements.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and yearly census data.

Participate in special projects and prepare ad hoc analyses, as requested.















Qualifications









  • Accounting major
  • Knowledge Microsoft Office; proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Verbal, Writing, and Interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team-based, continuous improvement environment.
  • Knowledge of best practices in internal controls and financial reporting
  • Self-motivated with effective organizational skills
  • Analytical and accounting skills, Managing Processes and ability to meet deadlines, Strong Attention to Detail, General Math Skills
