Description

The Senior Lead Analyst position is an integral member of the Global Regulatory Reporting Group (GRR). The GRR Group is a high-profile function, providing financial information to the regulators including the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The position will have a high level of visibility within the organization with opportunities to work directly on a regular basis with Management and will also interact very closely with other groups throughout Citi, including Risk, Treasury, Controllers, SEC Reporting, Accounting Policy, Financial Planning & Analysis, Capital Planning, and Finance & Risk Shared Services. The core responsibilities include managing a team of 8 10 highly talented reporting analyst who are responsible for the preparation and analysis of the quarterly, semi-annual, and annual Regulatory Reports required by FRB and OCC for Citigroup and Citibank entities, including BCBS 239 reports FFIEC 009 / 009A, FR 2510 / FR 2436. Other responsibilities include certain 10-K disclosures, GSIB submission, preparation/review of Senior Management Presentations, continuous improvement of internal controls on Regulatory data integrity, data quality improvement projects as well as implementation of new reporting systems.

  • FFIEC 009/009A Country Exposure Report (CER)
  • FR 2510 Report of Institution-to-Aggregate Granular Data
  • FR 2436 Semiannual Report of Derivatives Activity
  • Ad Hoc Reports

Responsibilities:

  • Quarterly and Semiannual review of regulatory schedules including timely submission of Reports to regulators via Reporting Central.
  • Ensure accuracy of Reports through various review methods and liaise with the Regulators on behalf of Citigroup, Inc
  • Produce metrics for Senior Management highlighting key issues and remediation status, maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures, ensuring key controls are in place and both standardize and optimize processes globally
  • Participate on committees and working groups with Finance, FRI, Regulators, Risk Architecture, Corporate Reporting, CDO
  • Ensure the overall team operates in a robust control focused environment
  • Represent the organization with external parties including auditors and regulators.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures, implement controls in adherence to the BCBS 239 report guidelines framework

Critical Competencies:

  • Ability to lead, deliver results and influence change
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams/leaders across all functional areas and levels
  • Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand Regulatory Requirements, Financial Products, including system data flows
  • Good understanding of Capital Market Products (i.e., Derivatives, SFTs, Securities)
  • Experience Regulatory and/or Risk/Management reports
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial/regulatory reporting
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills (written, verbal and active listening) required, ability to synthesize key messages and influence others

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting (preferred) and 10+ years of related work experience
