About the Role

We are a specialized Behavioral Science Practice within the Ogilvy Consulting Group who research and apply the latest thinking in cognitive psychology, social psychology and behavioral economics to create impactful behavior change in the real world. We create large scale behavioral interventions such as the Emmy-nominated behavioral nutrition TV program 'Hermosa Esperanza' in Mexico - down to small call center script optimizations which, in the case of our work with Adobe in Delhi, delivered an incremental ~$2.5m in value from customers the company retained simply by training their staff with our behavioral interventions. Our team has behavioral expertise in everything from sustainability & society, retail & merchandising to behavioral finance.

What You'll Do

  • Will have a strong knowledge of behavioral science and its key concepts, including the application of behavioral science principles across multiple industries.
  • Will be able to conduct a range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies (for example, survey development, observational analysis and environmental auditing) as well as interpreting the data and insights these approaches surface.
  • Will be able to lead and interpret behavioral research to unlock key insights and identify creative opportunities.
  • Will bring a creative mind-set to each facet of project delivery, from research methodology and problem diagnosis, to workshop stimulus and output delivery.
  • You will be a compelling presenter, capable of representing the Behavioral Science Practice's vision, credentials and case studies as well as training individuals from a range of backgrounds in behavioral science. You will work to share your learning with the broader agency, both within and outside of the team.
  • Behavioral Science Consultants work to creates a culture of mentorship and support, providing guidance and delegating opportunities to Behavioral Analysts.
  • Behavioral Science Consultants are the beating heart of the team. They ensure the quality of all client facing deliverables, inputting into the development of academic literature reviews and lateral category reports, ensuring accuracy of information and consistently high-quality deliverables.
  • Behavioral Science Consultants are champions of creativity. You are responsible for nurturing the creative output of your projects; identifying opportunities from insights and refining the most novel and effective applications of behavioral science.
  • If required, Behavioral Science Consultants are responsible for influencing and critically challenging agency strategists to deliver an outcome aligned with behavioral insights.

What You'll Need

  • Consultants will have a detailed knowledge of behavior change principles, heuristics and biases and fundamentals of cognitive, social psychology and behavioral economics. An undergraduate degree is a minimum requirement and a master's or beyond is certainly beneficial. Subjects may include (but are not limited to) psychology, biology, humanities/social sciences and economics. We're most concerned with how you've used and applied what you've studied, rather than the specific discipline itself.
  • Experience in a client facing or project delivery role; being involved in the creation of communications (in some capacity). This could have been in an advertising, media or public relations agency, within a company/brand itself or for a charity/Non-Governmental Organization/public sector, likely this would have been a marketing, account management or strategist position.
  • With the guidance of the Behavioral Science Partner, you will be responsible for driving projects (medium complexity and scale), as well as supporting in the successful running of larger projects.
  • Drafting project proposals for Partner sign-off, including proposed methodology, budget scope and project plan.
  • The delivery of research outputs, including analysis and final deliverable.
  • Managing day-to-day client communications, solidifying the relationship and leading client meetings.
  • Managing prototype development, liaising with 3rd party providers regarding testing platforms, design resources or manufacturing partners.
  • Working to delegate project deliverables to Behavioral Analysts (literature analysis etc).
  • Work under the guidance of the Behavioral Science Partner to develop workshop agendas and jointly lead trainings and workshops.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range$60,000—$140,000 USD
