Job Summary:

The Assistant Marketing Manager assists with the development and implementation of overall marketing programs and internal communications for the assigned line of business. This position is responsible for understanding and translating marketing strategies into creative executions. Must be able to manage large 360 campaigns and work across multiple teams internally and externally. The position will report to a Manager, Marketing within Lowe's Pro Supply Marketing organization and will serve as a subject matter expert of an assigned division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the managers and cross-functional partners in an "agile type setting to execute programs across the marketing organization in alignment with key stakeholders and delivering on highly impactful creative that deliver against critical KPIs. Should also be able to function independently in this capacity should the senior management team need support.
  • Partners with project management to build detailed timelines that ensure all creative assets will make in market dates.
  • Works with manager to be main point of contact for assigned business segments.
  • Writes detailed creative briefs and ensures all creative and content is aligned to the brief
  • Prioritize issues and brainstorm/develop solutions and recommendations by working with a diverse group of people (sales, merchants, internal and external teams, vendors, etc.)
  • Analyze the financial results of initiatives versus projections through financial analysis, controls and other benchmarks.
  • Evaluate the operational issues of initiatives talking to the sales organization, associates and customers and interviewing merchants.
  • Handle the day to day issues associated with implementing a new initiative. These may include working with sales, operations, call centers, branch and support associates. Use diverse problem-solving methodologies and critical thinking skills to understand the fundamental parts of the problems and communicate the solutions.
  • Serves as internal subject-matter expert for assigned business segments, stay up to date on contemporary advertising practices, and emerging trends, as well competitive analysis.
  • Organize and keep track of all products to include in creative executions.

  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter, creating process and new steps from start to finish.
  • Understanding of consumer motivations, marketing trends, and competitive trends
  • Ability to make informed, objective recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, prioritizing projects with the most impact on operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree inBusiness, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 3+ years of marketing communications, product marketing or agency account executive experience

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and build integrated marketing plans
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders and partners to develop, execute & measure marketing programs.
  • Financial Acumen: Interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.
  • Communicates Effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing cross-functional work relationships.
  • Manages Complexity: Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Manages Ambiguity: Operating effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
  • Plans and Aligns: Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
