What you'll do
Viasat seeks a Head of Product Management for Viasat's Global Fixed Broadband business. You will have the leading role in defining and growing our product portfolio in the highly competitive fixed broadband space, creating products and services that delight customers around the world.
The day-to-day
* Lead the team that creates and manages the product strategy, product requirements and overall product lifecycle for the Global Fixed Broadband business across hardware and software
* Work closely with the business teams to derive market requirements and justify product investments to support offerings to market for external services as well internal products for the business and its partners
* Build a strong working relationship and process with the business, engineering, operations and marketing teams, to intake, assess, plan, publish, and execute an effective roadmap
* Define, measure, and publish product success metrics, including all costs
* Display outstanding execution skills and quick thinking, making informed decisions in dynamic situations that yield positive outcomes.
* Actively influence outcomes using your technology and product expertise, including help schedules stay on track, create clear requirements upfront, manage feature backlogs and make the business more efficient to operate
What you'll need
* 15+ years' experience in high tech companies across engineering, architecture and marketing
* 10+ years' experience in product management (or equivalent experience leading product teams, or product strategy), shipping products that delight end consumers
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
* Experience working in the broadband business / at an ISP is a plus
* Technical competence with demonstrated ability to define, prioritize and plan in partnership with engineering - Satellite/mobile networks, cloud, software, network operations
* Strong analytical skills and data-oriented decision-making
* Multiple examples of creating detailed requirements for networking products, specifically satellite/mobile and working through implementation and launch
* Strong empathy and understanding for the customer and their needs.
* Exhibit effective communication skills
* Successful team leadership examples focused on growth of individuals
* Tolerance for ambiguity

Salary range
$213,800.00 - $382,300.00 / annually
