The Marketing Outreach Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Sales-Marketing Associates' team. Responsible for the development and implementation of an effective outreach programs that generates successful recruitment and retention of members. Maintains a current and thorough knowledge of all plan offerings including benefits, regulatory guidelines, and contractual requirements. This position has a direct impact on driving membership growth, providing high quality service with a professional, respectful demeanor while meeting the appropriate needs of our prospective members.

This position will be required to be licensed within the state of Rhode Island under the "Broker License" in support of State licensing requirements governing our lines of business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties included but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring that Sales-Marketing Associates have optimal exposure to communities the organization serves.
  • Supervise a team of representatives by providing active supervision by interacting directly with staff on Key Performance Indicators
  • Engage in on-going performance management of staff including coaching, mentoring, development, training and succession planning to include hiring and termination decisions
  • Recruit, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law
  • Serves as mentor for staff members. Successfully onboards new sales team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of community outreach reports and ensuring metrics are met.
  • Reports to Director of Marketing Outreach the team's successes, issues, external concerns, and necessary internal communications or memos.
  • Monitor the consistency and accuracy of all teams' activities including community presentation, sponsorships, potential member leads, etc. in Salesforce.
  • Assist Director of Marketing Outreach with the development and implementation of marketing outreach strategies, including setting targets, developing work plans, budgets, and motivating team to achieve their goals.
  • Monitor member trends through market data dashboard and provide recommendation for action to the Director of Marketing Outreach.
  • Improve sales of existing product by participating in competitive market strategy meetings.
  • Maintain and develops team desktop procedures, along with departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist with external Marketing activities, if necessary. This includes presentations, events, meetings and distributions.
  • Cross-department partnership to identify strategies to maintain membership
  • Monitor and enforce of compliance standards for all lines of business
  • Seeks new sales and marketing opportunities for Sales-Marketing Associates
  • Works in accordance with departments compliance-related policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all CEUs are completed on time to maintain active Health Broker's License
  • Remain knowledgeable of the industry and recent updates/legislation/changes in each product line
  • Corporate Compliance Responsibility - As an essential function, responsible for complying with Neighborhood's Corporate Compliance Program, Standards of Business Conduct, applicable contracts, laws, rules and regulations, policies, and procedures as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and the Company. This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications or equivalent education and relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must possess or obtain a Rhode Island Brokers License within ninety (90) days of hire date
  • Five (5) + year's experience working in a professional services environment, expertise in healthcare marketing and satisfaction strongly preferred
  • Three (3)+ years' experience working in managed care environment
  • Experience onboarding and leading teams in community outreach environment
  • Excellent written/communication skills with phone and/or customer service experience
  • Experience in delivering marketing strategies and processes
  • Quantitative, analytical and forecasting skills
  • Ability to gather data, compiles information, and prepares reports
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and prior management experience leading and coaching staff
  • Comfortable working in a professional, diverse corporate setting; ability to guide and lead a diverse staff of different cultural and social economic backgrounds
  • Demonstrated communication and team building skills
  • Experience supporting state/federal audits
  • Excellent public speaking/presentation skills
  • Must be available for weekend and evening work
  • Self-motivated; ability to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to travel for work, must have access to reliable transportation. If using own vehicle, must have valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and carry the item up to 200 feet

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Rhode Island Medicaid
  • Knowledge of CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Marketing rules and regulations
  • Five (5) + years' of health insurance sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing health insurance sales in Rhode Island
