Position: Medical Recruiter
  • Position Type: 6+ month contract position with the potential to convert to FTE.
  • Hourly rate: $30-$40 on a W2 basis
  • Location: Candidates must be local to the Fresno, California-Area as this is technically a hybrid opportunity (some onsite at Fresno location may be needed for any issues that might arise)

Day-To-Day:
  • Handle 40 req's at any given time for multiple medical centers across several regions. This will consist of lab technicians, EMT's, nursing, administrative, medical roles, etc.
  • Provide managers and supervisors with assistance in the coordination and selection of talent in the recruitment process.
  • Assist Recruiting Manager in establishing recruiting requirements; meets with managers to discuss needs.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites.
  • Assist in the development of new recruitment programs, such as employee referral programs, behavioral-based interviewing, and personality profiles.
  • Determine applicants' qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Make offers of employment, coordinate background checks, drug screens, reference checks, and license verifications.
  • Responsible for all administrative functions of recruitment, including creating requisitions and managing job postings.
  • Create and maintain various reports, as needed, including monthly recruiting updates, time-to-fill, etc.
  • Assist Recruiting Manager in the development and communication of recruiting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure fairness, efficiency, consistency, legal compliance, and cost-effectiveness in hiring decisions and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Approx. 3 years of experience in recruitment for one of the following areas: Medical, Pharmaceutical, Plasma, Healthcare. High volume recruitment in Retail or Food and beverage would also suffice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly ambitious and capable of thinking outside of the box.
  • Eager to share new ideas and contribute to a team.
  • Self-motivated and willing to assume the initiative.
  • Attentive to every detail.
  • Capable of thriving while working independently.
  • Previous experience should demonstrate knowledge of standard HR concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, customer service focus, self-motivation, and ability to perform multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to problems creatively.
  • May require travel to assist field locations with recruitment.
Compensation Info:
  • Hourly rate of $30-$40 on a W2 basis as Vaco Consultant, with potential conversion to full-time (depending on client needs and mutual fit.) at a base salary of $60-$65K plus client benefits.
  • Opportunities for full-time conversion based on market needs.
  • Coverage of travel expenses for training purposes.
  • Monthly cell phone stipend of $50.
  • Location: Candidates must be local to the Fresno, California-Area as this is technically a hybrid opportunity (some onsite at Fresno location may be needed for any issues that might arise)
