Position Summary :
Responsible for Pack In House team’s high performance and engagement in safety and standard operating procesures of the department to meet excpectains regarding safety, quality and production deadlines. Pack in House team packs customer materials on site so they arrive on time and damage free.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises team for safe and efficient production standards.
  • Trains and coaches team(s) in a specific job role to ensure work is performed as expected for safety, quality and production deadlines.
  • Gives feedback about performance to job expectations to ensure respectful accountability. May manage time and attendance system and team member schedules for start/stop, meal and rest periods and time-off.
  • Carefully lifts, pushes, and places customer equipment/materials inside of TransPak manufactured crates using hand trucks, pallet jacks, ladders, or ramps in order to ship customer equipment/materials without damage to customer equipment/materials.
  • May assist with other crate assembly tasks as production schedule permits, as needed.
  • Safe and Efficient Facility Team Member
  • Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use. Follow all procedures, policies and know the equipment before using it.
  • Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts.
  • Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures.
  • Work together with other team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment.
  • May perform individual contributor roles alongside team members or manage special continuous improvement projects as needed.

Marginal Functions:

Housekeeping: sweeping and disposing of scrap foam/lumber or other miscellaneous items.

Perform other related work as assigned.

Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

Required

  • Minimum 3 months to one year of experience in the individual contributor role
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to build a high performing team
  • Role model of TransPak culture and operating procedures
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, deadline-driven, continuous improvement behaviors
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
