Admissions Coordinator



The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking a qualified Admissions Coordinator. Recently ranked 2nd by US News & World Report for our Nurse Anesthesia DNP program, 5th for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner DNP program, and 10th Best Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, the School of Nursing continues to be one of the most reputable and well-known nursing education schools in the country for both undergraduate and graduate level programs.

The admissions Coordinator will support the application, admission, enrollment, and progress of students in the School of Nursing. The incumbent will prepare, process, maintain, and document student information into admission records, enrollment, and graduation reports using a variety of systems and applications including PeopleSoft, NursingCAS, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Perceptive Content. They will also help to answer/respond to pre-admission questions. Qualified candidates should have the ability to work independently with overall guidance and direction from senior staff and leadership. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and business plans is highly desired. Experience working in higher education or admissions is also highly desired. Experience with PeopleSoft, NursingCAS, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Perceptive Content would be beneficial.


Job Summary

Leads and coordinates the admission committee process for undergraduate student admission. Reviews student admission applications and facilitates admission decisions. Maintains records and complies with policies, procedures, and regulations. Serves as liaison between the University and potential students.


Essential Functions

The essential functions for this position include:

- preparing, processing, and maintaining student information using a variety of applications
- responding to pre-admissions inquiries
- processing admission applications, maintaining guidelines and criteria, and ensuring completeness of applications
- monitoring the progress of applicants and progress of students towards degree completion


Physical Effort

Little physical effort required.
Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
