The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Professional Counselor (True North) (NH-0185-03) to work at the 96th Test Wing, Integrated Prevention and Response Office (IPRO) (96 TW/CDVT), at Eglin AFB in Valparaiso, FL. NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Recently retired and/or retiring from MILITARY service ARE eligible for immediate appointment for AFTC positions. The 180-day waiting period has been waived for AFTC to hire recently retired and/or retiring service members. Announcement Closes: 2 June 2024 at 11:59 pm (EST)Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate: - 2+ years of professional clinical experience providing guidance and communicating with military leaders at a unit, squadron, group or wing level to mitigate psychosocial stressors to optimize Service member and mission performance. - 2+ experience working with a team to collaborate and integrate prevention and resiliency strategies when identified, coordinating, and partnering with appropriate agency(s) to increase protective factors of the community serviced. Mission/Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is: To provide a full range of professional social work services within operational Air Force (AF) squadrons. Serves as a member of a multidisciplinary Integrated Operational Support (IOS) team directly supporting the Line of the Air Force (LAF) mission. Assists assigned organization with the goal of building resiliency, enhancing human performance, and improving unit mission effectiveness. Clinical and administrative duties focus on education and prevention, psychosocial assessment and diagnosis, and evidenced-based interventions and treatment. Major Duties: - Observes and participates in unit activities in order to identify psychosocial stressors and barriers to optimal human performance. - Develops and implements program initiatives, executing strategies to mitigate psychosocial stressors and risks to optimize Service members and mission performance. - Provides psychological consultation, education, and training to military commanders/senior leaders, other MH professionals, and medical staff. - Conducts psycho-diagnostic assessments and provides evidence based psychotherapy services. Qualifications/Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Security clearance - This is a designated Drug Testing Position - Master’s Degree or higher in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). - Must have passed the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE) or provide evidence of an examination determined by the Director of the DHA as equal in scope, intent, and content to the NCMHCE.
