Southwire Job Description

The P&C Specialist will provide unrelenting customer service to team members in the Services business unit, perform full range of P&C functions including administration of policies, procedures, programs. He or she will maximize value of team member communication and recognition/appreciation along with ensuring a positive work environment. The candidate must be willing to take on additional responsibilities in areas outside of traditional P&C functions and support administrative functions of the Arlington Service hub.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare, maintain, and update team member data in the People and Culture information systems (Success Factors, ADP, Benefit Focus, etc) utilizing advanced computer skills including data entry.
* Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute P&C programs including but not limited to position and compensation changes, benefits, and leave; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management, recognition, and morale (training and development)
* Track and administer candidate onboarding for all new hires providing frequent communication to internal and external customers for a seamless and valued onboarding experience
* Coordinate new hire orientation with cross-functional teams and lead training of newly hired team members on company policies, programs, benefits, and compliance
* Assist in offboarding data collection and system updates
* Drive team member experience through adoption of Southwire programs and experiences
* Support P&C initiatives such as benefit enrollment, engagement surveys, communication campaign and updates through online platforms.
* Database and file management for personnel files, driver qualification files for DOT program
* Oversee schedule of training rooms, providing administrative support of event coordination
* Provide support to team members in various P&C-related topics and resolve any issues that may arise

Education, Experience, and Skills
* 3+ years' experience working in HR with demonstrated success in recruiting and onboarding team members
* Bachelor's degree in related field
* Experience with HRIS and Payroll software a plus
* Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented nature; desire to build relationships with others
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including experience leading teams and public speaking or training
* Skilled at using MS Office
* Ability to organize work and set priorities to accomplish individual and team goals; may include occasional, non-traditional hours/shifts
