The International Cost Accounting Supervisor role is a highly engaging and collaborative role supporting Global Supply Chain Cost Accounting functions for all international regions operating on the Oracle R12 system. This position leads a team of 4-5 direct reports and engages in daily collaboration with local and regional contacts across the GSC division as well as Stores, Consumer, and Performance Coatings Selling Divisions. This role is a primary point-of-contact and key liaison between Operations/Selling divisions for all aspects of international cost accounting and product costing.
Highlights of this supervisory position include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate extensively with HQ and in-region GSC, PCG, and CBG Merchandise Control and Commercial Selling Divisions as a primary point-of-contact for all aspects of international cost accounting and product costing.
Work closely with Global Cost Accounting Manager and Global Cost Accounting Director on key initiatives and monthly/annual processes and reporting.
Lead the development and presentation of annual and re-rolled standard costs for all manufactured and purchased goods for all Oracle R12 sites across Europe, Asia, and Latin America (17+ sites total) impacting COGS of approximately $1.5B USD.
Lead a team of 4-5 Analysts - including the oversight of all daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly responsibilities - such as monthly entries, new product creation, analysis of absorption, usage, and PPV, and inventory revaluation. Provide leadership and foster growth and success amongst the team.
Manage, develop, and report on monthly results, forecasts, and budgets for cost concepts such as manufacturing absorption, distribution, freight, pallet, technical, and usage expense/absorption, and purchase price variances.
Execute strategic CI projects such as initiatives to implement cost-automation tools and assist in Oracle implementations (as required). Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects to contribute to maximizing efficiency and profit for GSC, TAG, CBG, and PCG groups.
Implement and design standard procedures and policies to enhance standardization, clarity, and capability in global costing functions of today and of the future.
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
Bachelors - Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a focus in Finance or Accounting
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
4-5 years of accounting experience.
Preferred:
Experience with Standard Cost development.
Experience with Oracle ERP (OPM and/or Financial), OBIEE.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
