Job Summary

This position is with Corporate Health Resources, Inc., (CHR), a WorkCare company. CHR is a nationwide occupational health examiner network service provider. Visit

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a thorough review of medical records for completeness.
  • Upon successful record audit completion, create a clearance and send to the employees and/or clients.
  • If there are any out-of-range findings or health concerns, additional evaluation may be required before clearance can be issued.
  • When records cannot be cleared due to abnormal findings that may affect final clearance, work with the nurses assigned to each client for escalation and possible overview and case presentation to one of the Occupational Health Medical Directors for final determination and/or possible further evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • At least 3 years' of medical records experience required.
    • Experience that includes laboratory results, vaccine records and various medical surveillance exams in accordance with OSHA Standards, both Pre-employment and Periodic, desired.
    • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF required.
    • Prior remote work experience preferred.

    • Work concurrently on multiple clients with various processing guidelines.
    • Follow client/company specific procedures.
    • Ability to make clearance decisions with confidence.

    • Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
    • Strong critical thinking skills; problem solving, and decision making.

    • Ability to create and edit written materials.
    • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.

    • Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Computer Skills
    • Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
  • Physical Demands
    • Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
    • Some bending and stretching could be required.
    • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
    • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard and mouse.
    • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
    • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Work Environment
    • Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
    • The noise level is usually moderate.
    • Air quality is good and temperature is controlled.
    • Work Environment must be free from background noise and distraction, noise level is acceptable, temperature is controlled. At home set up must meet all Company IT, privacy and safety requirements.

Additional Job Information

Must reside in and be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for any employer.

The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00m EST. Candidates can be located in any time zone as long as they can work the required hours of the position.

The salary for this position is $19.00-$23.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the final candidate within this range depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
