Job Description: As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and submitting accurate and timely invoices to our clients. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all billing operations run smoothly, minimizing discrepancies and optimizing revenue collection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and send out invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow up on outstanding or rejected claims and address any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing matters.
• Maintain updated records of invoices, payments, and adjustments.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify delinquencies or discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures related to billing.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency in billing software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing practices (preferred but not required).

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in billing or accounts receivable (preferred).

Location: Our office is conveniently located in downtown Cincinnati with easy access to public transportation and nearby amenities. Parking is paid for.
