JOB DESCRIPTION
The Staff Accountant position will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks including financial reporting, reconciliations, analysis, billing processing, auditing financial documents, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Prepare financial reports, conduct in-depth analysis, and summarize account information to provide comprehensive insights, facilitating informed decision-making by senior management.
Monitor and assess policies and procedures within designated departments, proactively identifying areas for improvement in accounting reports and procedures.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
Maintain and update financial records while also identifying opportunities to minimize costs and maximize revenue streams.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reviewing invoices, obtaining approvals, processing payments, generating invoices, recording revenue.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements, process purchase orders, review requisitions, and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Support financial and inventory audit activities by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.
Participate in various ad hoc requests, projects, and initiatives as assigned by management.
