The Portfolio Process Manager will own the implementation of the portfolio management processes to ensure OTP meets its mission of providing reliable, low-cost and environmentally responsible power to its customers.

To achieve that, the Portfolio Process Manager will:

  • Create, implement, and manage a portfolio management process.
  • Define and enforce standards for preliminary project planning to ensure future project execution is a success.
  • Collaborate with all internal Otter Tail Power stakeholders on templates, tools and standards lists for project management and methodologies and train Project Management team on best practices.
  • Establish metrics and performance indicators to track the progress and performance of the project portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • OTP leaders need to have a confident interpersonal, communications and diplomacy skills to effectively manage the various teams involved in projects and to create positive and effective relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be goal oriented, action-focused, pragmatic, and self-disciplined.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field like Engineering, Management, etc., 
  • 10 years demonstrated experience in project management and gaining project approval from executives, board of directors and regulatory entities. 
  • Must possess a strong understanding and application of basic project management tools and techniques.
  • Selected candidates will be required to complete a pre-interview assessment.
