Accounts Receivable Team Leader

Competitive salary, £1000 Flex allowance, up to 15% bonus + benefits. 

Are you an Accounts Receivable professional with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment, looking for a new challenge? We could have just the role for you?

 What is the role?

The Accounts Receivable Team Lead will be a very hands-on role, learning and strengthening our retail contracting, invoicing, and collections. covering AR requirements and hoc invoicing. Building customer and internal relationships to ensure that payments are received or escalated in a timely manner, so that all appropriate actions are taken swiftly and in conjunction with business decisions. This role will be guiding 4 credit controllers.

What will you do?

  • Leading the 4 AR team members to continue building robust processes and supervise to ensure that audit requirements are met.
  • To develop cross training amongst the AR team and day to day management of team
  • Learn and support the Retail Accountants
  • Month end close process and reporting, monthly dashboard, bad debt provision
  • Completion of regular reporting & reviews, identifying problems and solution proposals to resolve
  • Support the FinOps Manager with process changes to improve procedures within the AR & collections functions
  • Ensuring minimal unallocated cash and reporting on balances at month end

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • AAT/ACCA/CIMA/CICM studier or qualified preferred
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting. Understanding of contracts, accruals, and provisions
  • Experience in invoicing and accounts receivable processes
  • Excel intermediate/advanced skills essential
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team to successful outcomes   
  • Ability to identify where changes are required in processes, understand the impact and discuss solutions with key stakeholders
  • ERP systems experience, understanding problem solving within ERP systems.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required, able to review and challenge where required
  • Must be hands on – able to work with the team to complete all tasks required in order to meet demanding deadlines
