Job Description:
Seeking to hire a Financial Accountant
The Accountant will process accounts payable and perform general accounting activities, including fixed assets, and the preparation of general ledger and bank account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor accounts payable email inbox and save invoices to workflow folder for processing.
* Reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure payment within due dates.
* Enter, code, and route invoices to the proper approval workflows per delegated authorities.
* Monitor AP workflow and approver queues, and ensure pending items are resolved timely.
* Mail AP checks, to include obtaining authorized signatures and routing for special handling.
* Obtain documentation for new vendors.
* Review expense reports for proper approvals, coding, and documentation.
* Prepare assigned daily and monthly general ledger and bank account reconciliations.
* Prepare journal entries in support of month-end close.
* Process fixed asset additions, disposals, and monthly reports.
* Ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
* Perform other tasks and duties as required or assigned.

* Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including strong use of Excel (pivot tables and formulas).
* Familiar with Oracle PeopleSoft applications (AP, Asset Management, General Ledger).
* Knowledge of the accounting cycle and month-end close process.
* Basic knowledge of General ly Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years accounting experience or combined equivalence with Associate's Degree and/or applicable certification.
