SCHOOL BURSAR
NJC Grade 7 £29,269 - £32,076 FTE / 42 weeks per year / September 2024 start / 37 hours per week
Marlborough Primary School is a large two form entry primary school set in extensive grounds on the outskirts of Macclesfield. We strongly believe in developing the whole child and our dedicated staff create a supportive, happy and secure learning environment providing our pupils with the best opportunities possible to achieve their potential.
We are looking for a School Bursar following the retirement of our current incumbent and think this is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career and to make your mark in a good school.
Working alongside the Headteacher, the Bursar is responsible for the managing the business functions of the school including finance, administration, HR, facilities, MIS and Health & Safety.
You will be the school’s leading support member of staff and part of the leadership team ensuring that the school is ready to meet its educational aims. You will promote the highest standards of ethics and always ensure the effective use of resources.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team and have experience in one of the following areas - Finance, Facilities, HR or office management.
You will be eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme and have 26 days holiday, rising to 31 with service. There will be a full induction programme to help settle into school life quickly.
Marlborough Primary School is a member of the Fallibroome Trust, a ten school multi-academy trust based in Cheshire. The Trust offers opportunities for peer support and professional development.
